Cancer and Lumps
Cancer and Lumps
There are many different types of lumps or growths that all animals will get. It is important that, as soon as you noticed anything abnormal, you bring them down for an examination as certain types of cancers can present almost in any form.
If you’re concerned about a lump, we will recommend surgery to remove them as soon as possible or if we are not too concerned, we will advise you to monitor it.
Sampling of some lumps can be performed during the consult to help us decide which way to proceed.
Signs where having a lump or growth examined is more urgent include:
-
Redness
-
Weeping
-
Pain when touched
-
Rapid growth
Please contact us on (02) 4261 4055 if your pet has a lump or growth that needs to be examined.
